Let us support the devoted Parkinson’s / Movement Disorder Research Center based in Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia (DMV) region.
HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Parkinson’s disease is a complex and challenging condition that affects millions of people worldwide. It’s a progressive neurological disorder that causes tremors, stiffness, and difficulty in movement, among a range of other debilitating symptoms. For those living with Parkinson’s, it’s a daily battle that can significantly impact their quality of life.
One critical issue is limited access to specialized care, particularly in the field of Movement Disorder. This specialization is essential for effectively managing Parkinson's disease. This lack of specialized care doesn't only affect symptom management, but also slows down research for better treatments and a possible cure. Additionally, insufficient funding and support makes it hard for researchers and doctors to make progress, delaying the development of new therapies that could improve the lives of those with Parkinson's.
We aim to fund a two-year post-doctoral internship program specializing in Movement Disorder, beginning with the [PD/MD Research Center-X] in Washington DC.
Yearly Cost Of Program Approximately $80,000 for each resident.
Fund 4 residents per year with a contribution of $340,000 – $400,000. Depending on progress, we plan on expanding our campaign to support other research centers in the USA and beyond.
Training Future Specialists: Your donation fuels the training of post-doctoral interns specializing in Movement Disorder, directly addressing the specific needs of Parkinson’s patients.
